Park Projects

Major Current and Ongoing Parks Department Projects:

Benton County, through its Parks Department, has a concessionaire agreement with the Tri-Cities Shooting Association (TCSA) for the full management by TCSA of the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility (RMSF), which is located along SR 225 north of Benton City and across the highway from Horn Rapids Park at the base of Rattlesnake Mountain.  RMSF is operated for the public’s use and benefit by the TCSA, which collects fees for day use or annual memberships.  TCSA is entirely responsible for development and maintenance of the facilities, though the County does partner fincancially on selected projects.  Every few years, County Parks and the TCSA rework the RMSF Master Plan to update accomplisments and recalibrate future development goals.  This draft of the 2019 Master Plan is available for public comment.  The comment window willl close on Friday, March 29, with the current plan being for the Park Board to adopt the final, revised Master Plan at its meeting in Kennewick on April 9.  Please submit any questions or comments to  Thank you for your interest in the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility and Benton County Parks.
